Who We are
The Pennsylvania Golden Gloves is an Olympic Development program which has been in existence for the past 40 years. Pennsylvania Golden Gloves is a member of the National Golden Gloves of America, which has been in existence for the past 100 years, under the National umbrella of nonprofit organizations.
While the mission of Golden Gloves has evolved to include both young male and female boxers, at its core is still the main ingredient: to provide opportunities to build character, self-respect, and lasting leadership skills.
What We Provide
Throughout our history the Golden Gloves has been a place for a young person to challenge themselves, some to achieve personal goals, some to be part of a team and others to achieve success in their community.
One can walk into any boxing gym and see the multi-cultural make up of the boxers and the camaraderie shared. This is more important now as the country and the world is facing challenges with race relations. Boxers learn discipline and humility real fast, with most bouts ending with a handshake or a hug.
Make a Donation
Golden Gloves boxing is a non-profit organization that helps the community in many ways. For one, we donate gloves to local schools and clubs so that kids can have the proper equipment when they train. We also organize events and fundraisers to support different causes. We provide training and coaching for aspiring boxers of all ages. This not only helps to improve the health and fitness of participants, but it also gives them the opportunity to socialize and connect with others in their community. As a result, Golden Gloves boxing is an important part of many communities.
